Job Title: Maintenance Repair Technician
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $34.00 – $40.00 per hour
Location: Melrose Park, IL
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Repair Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a background in CNC equipment, and a safety-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance, including lubrication, filter changes, and equipment cleaning, following manufacturer guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to restore safe operation.
• Conduct basic machining tasks incidental to equipment repairs.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operators and production staff to identify and address maintenance issues.
• Move and install plant and building equipment; connect pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems as needed.
• Organize, label, and maintain stock parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations.
• Document maintenance tasks and communicate status updates to team leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a CNC machining environment.
• Strong knowledge of CNC lathes, mills, and manual machining equipment.
• Experience with electrical wiring and rewiring up to 480V.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with forklift operation, power tools, and electrical meters.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing work schedules and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Electrical wiring: 3 years
• Blueprint reading: 3 years
• Safety practices: 3 years
• Valid Driver’s License
