Pay Rate: Starting at $45/hr+
Experience Required: 10+ Years
Shift: Starts on 2nd Shift with the intention to transition to 1st Shift in the future

Position Overview

We are seeking an elite 5-Axis Soraluce Setup Programmer with deep hands-on experience in advanced machining, multi-axis programming, and precision setups. This role requires a true expert capable of independently programming, setting up, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex 5-axis machining operations.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, thrives in a high-precision environment, and can own the entire process from print to finished part.

Key Responsibilities

CNC Programming & Optimization

• Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs specifically for 5-axis Soraluce machining centers.
• Perform program proves, dry runs, and first-piece validations.
• Continuously improve cycle times, feeds/speeds, and overall machining efficiency.

Machine Set-Up & Operation

• Complete complex setups including tooling, workholding, fixture alignment, and offset programming.
• Run the first few parts to verify accuracy and ensure program stability.
• Troubleshoot tooling, machine issues, and dimensional discrepancies.

Technical Expertise

• Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and detailed engineering documentation.
• Utilize probing, measurement tools, and inspection equipment to verify part accuracy.
• Work closely with engineering, quality, and production to support precision manufacturing.

Leadership & Transition

• Begin on 2nd shift to establish process stability and workflow.
• Position is intended to move to 1st shift, with the opportunity to take a lead role during the transition.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of CNC machining and programming experience (multi-axis required).
• Strong proficiency in 5-axis machining, preferably on Soraluce platforms.
• Advanced skill level in setups, precision machining, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and produce high-quality components with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and machining best practices.
