Position Summary:
The Corporate Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for leading the strategic direction, implementation, and operation of the organization's IT systems and infrastructure. This Director level role ensures that IT initiatives align with business goals, enhance operational efficiency and support sustainable growth. This position is for a rapidly growing manufacturing and services organization with multiple locations throughout the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company’s overall IT strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Participating committee member of corporate IT board that oversees and sets technology direction
- Oversee the planning, deployment, and maintenance of all IT systems including hardware, software, network infrastructure and business applications.
- Ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability of core systems, with a specific emphasis on Sage 100 ERP Financials
- Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and integration of enterprise applications and platforms.
- Work closely with internal and external auditors to meet IT SOX compliance requirements
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other departments to ensure that technology solutions meet organizational needs.
- Manage IT budgets (OpEx/CapEx), procurement and vendor relationships effectively.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices including cybersecurity protocols and data protection standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Provide executive leadership with reports on IT performance, risk assessments and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure business continuity plans are up to date and tested regularly.
- Manage and oversee integration work with highly dynamic M&A growth
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, including experience managing enterprise systems and teams.
- Strong expertise with Sage Financial Systems and ERP systems in general
- Experience selecting, utilizing and optimizing systems designed for manufacturing
- Proven experience managing complex IT environments in mid-to-large corporations.
- Knowledge of financial and operational workflows and how they intersect with enterprise systems.
- Experience in cybersecurity, compliance (e.g., SOX, GDPR), and IT risk management.
- Excellent project management, problem solving, customer service, communication and leadership skills.
- Strategic thinker with a strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
