Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Field Millwright to support and maintain mechanical systems and industrial machinery for a range of client sites. The ideal candidate is technically strong, safety-conscious, and experienced in troubleshooting and repairing equipment in fast-paced environments. This role requires the ability to work independently, travel frequently, and deliver high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities

On-Site Equipment Maintenance & Repair

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations on conveyors and a variety of industrial machinery.
• Execute emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Install new machines and equipment according to customer specifications.

Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals to support accurate diagnostics and installations.

Customer Interaction & Service

• Act as the primary on-site representative, ensuring strong communication and professional service.
• Explain technical issues and recommended solutions clearly and effectively.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety standards, regulations, and procedures, including LOTO and PPE requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety checks prior to performing work.
• Immediately report safety concerns to management.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate documentation for work performed, travel, time, and expenses.

Inventory & Equipment Management

• Ensure service vehicles are properly stocked with required parts and tools.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of industrial maintenance or field service experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems; welding/fabrication experience a plus.
• Technical certifications in industrial maintenance or related fields preferred.

Skills & Attributes

• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently under tight deadlines.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
• Valid driver’s license required with an acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and industrial environments.
• Ability to travel regularly, including occasional overnight stays.

Work Environment

• Frequent travel to industrial and manufacturing facilities.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and typical industrial hazards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.71 - $40.00 per hour
