Welder – All Shifts Available

Location: Batavia, Ohio

Position Overview

The Welder is responsible for welding mild and structural steel using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG) and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) methods. This role requires the ability to weld in multiple positions while producing high-quality welds that meet project specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of welding techniques, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Weld Test Required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding on mild and structural steel using GMAW (MIG) and FCAW welding methods
• Weld in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions, producing fillet and butt weld joints
• Operate welding equipment and hand tools including grinders, cut-off wheels, and magnetic drills
• Conduct routine equipment checks to ensure optimal performance
• Accurately read and interpret measurements using a tape measure (measurement test required)
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to complete projects according to specifications
• Follow all workplace safety protocols and procedures
• Successfully complete required welding tests
• Assist in other departments or with related tasks as needed
• Safely lift and maneuver metal components up to 50 lbs

Education (Preferred but Not Required)

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of a welding trade school program

Experience

• 0–2 years of welding experience
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience welding with MIG (GMAW) or FCAW preferred

Additional Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Ability to stand or walk for most of the shift
• Ability to bend, squat, lift (up to 50 lbs), push, pull, and reach
• Strong attendance and work habits
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
