Position Overview

Mecca Talent is seeking an experienced NCCCO Certified Crane Operator for a leading industrial manufacturing company in Mount Joy, PA.

This position is responsible for safely operating mobile cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment while maintaining strict compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and company safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience operating hydraulic mobile cranes, interpreting load charts, and working safely in demanding industrial and construction environments.

This role begins operating a 45-ton mobile crane with opportunities to advance to larger cranes ranging up to 600 tons, including boom configurations exceeding 475 feet.

Essential Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 45-ton mobile crane to lift, move, position, and place heavy loads.
• Transport the crane to and from job sites while following all DOT and company safety requirements.
• Read and interpret crane load charts to ensure safe lifting capacities and proper crane configuration.
• Perform crane setup, stabilization, dismantling, and inspections in accordance with OSHA and ANSI standards.
• Coordinate lifting operations with riggers, signal persons, and ground personnel using hand signals and verbal communication.
• Load and unload crane accessories, rigging equipment, counterweights, and materials from trailers and support vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily equipment inspections while documenting maintenance needs and operating hours.
• Follow all company safety policies, lifting procedures, and job site regulations.
• Work safely in changing outdoor weather conditions throughout the year.
• Work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required by project schedules.

Qualifications

• Current NCCCO Crane Operator Certification required.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred or ability to obtain one if required.
• Previous experience operating hydraulic mobile cranes in industrial, construction, or heavy manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of crane load charts, rigging practices, and safe lifting procedures.
• Knowledge of OSHA and ANSI crane operation standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with riggers, signal persons, and job site personnel.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and background check.
