Position Overview

Mecca Talent is seeking an experienced Water Jet Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Mount Joy, PA.

This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining WardJet waterjet cutting equipment to produce high-quality precision components while meeting production schedules and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC cutting equipment, working from blueprints, and safely handling materials in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate WardJet waterjet cutting machines according to production requirements.
• Verify material type, dimensions, and job specifications before beginning production.
• Monitor machine performance throughout production and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Accurately complete production documentation, routing sheets, and material tracking records.
• Safely operate forklifts (tow motors), overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
• Identify and report quality concerns, equipment issues, and Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) to supervisors and the Quality Department.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and production standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating waterjet, laser, plasma, or other CNC cutting equipment preferred.
• Experience with WardJet or similar waterjet systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings.
• Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and precision measuring instruments.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work safely around industrial equipment.
