Title: Welder

Department: Weld

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Classification: Non-Exempt

Shifts: 1st, 2nd, 3rd

Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently use welding and shop equipment such as power supplies, wire feeders, welding helmet, welding guns, measuring tools, clamps, jigs and fixtures, and other miscellaneous hand tools
• Load and position parts to fixtures to achieve correct dimensions
• Adjust weld equipment settings for proper weld quality
• Maintain safety standards and operate safety equipment
• Fluent in reading prints and other instructions
• Weld parts per print to meet customer and quality requirements
• Perform routine maintenance as required and inform supervisor of possible problems that may need to be addressed
• Complete work order, quality date and clerical functions as required
• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe workstation
